A recent report titled ‘State of Elementary Education in Rural India’ has unveiled a heartening trend – 78% of parents in rural areas express their strong aspiration to provide education to their daughters up to graduation and even beyond. The report, presented by Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, showcases evolving attitudes towards female education in rural communities.

Drawing insights from a comprehensive survey conducted across 20 states and encompassing 6,229 rural households, the report provides a significant understanding of the educational landscape for children aged 6 to 16 in rural India.
