The video opens with a woman conducting a virtual meeting on her computer, while she also practices football with her son under the table. The next visual sees a young man selling things in the traffic and instead of taking cash, he shows a QR scanner, tattooed on his arms to the customer for payment. The success of social media influencers, content creators and small-time businesses are also spoken about by Big B in the promo. He also states how people today can enjoy the best of food at the click of their mobile phones, and how it has brought families closer.

Towards the end of the promo, Amitabh Bachchan says that it’s a sign of progress when a country changes and evolves. He also claims that KBC is changing, hinting at a more tech-savvy season this year. “India has embraced change; a change that fosters growth, a change that has rehauled our mindset and a change that drives new aspirations. In India, ‘badi shaan se, bade gyan se – dekho sab kuch badal raha hai’, and mirroring this transformation is the nation’s biggest game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati,” the statement by channel read.

Registrations for Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 kickstarted in April. As per sources, the shoot for the show will begin by next month while it will hit screens by August. Amitabh Bachchan has been the host of the show since its first season in 2000, except for the third season that was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. During the show’s 1000th episode, the thespian had spoken about his difficult times when he took up the show due to some financial constraints.

He shared, “Darasal, ikkis saal ho gaye hain. San 2000 mein iski shuruat hui thi. Aur uss samay humko pata nahi tha, sab log keh rahe they ke aap film se television mein jaa rahe hain, bade parde se chhote parde par aa rahe hain, aapki image ko nuksaan hoga. Lekin humari apni kuch paristhitiyan aisi thi ke mujhe laga ke… Filmon mein kaam jo hai woh mil nahi raha tha, lekin pehle broadcast ke baad jiss tarah ke reaction aane shuru hue, phir aisa laga ke puri duniya mil gayi hai (It has been 21 years since we began the show in 2000. At that time, I had no idea what would happen. People would warn me that moving from the big screen to the small screen would harm my career. But circumstances compelled me to take this on. You see, I wasn’t getting any films at that time, but after the show premiered, the kind of reactions I received made me believe that the world was with me).”

KBC airs on Sony TV.
