The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Friday launched 5,623 flats in Jasola, Dwarka, Narela, Lok Nayak Puram, Siraspur and Rohini under its First Come First Served (FCFS) scheme.

Registration started from 5 pm, while booking of flats will be available on July 10 from 12 pm.
According to a statement by the DDA, under the scheme, 5,383 1BHK Lower-Income Group (LIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats are being offered in Narela, Rohini, Siraspur and Loknayak Puram; 199 2BHK Middle-Income Group (MIG) flats in Dwarka and Narela; and 41 3BHK Higher-Income Group (HIG) flats in Jasola.

Applicants can register on the DDA website after paying Rs 1,180. After checking the flats’ size, layout, location and cost, the applicant can book the flat after paying the booking amount, which will vary depending on the size and category of the flat.

For instance, the booking fees for a 1BHK EWS flat is Rs 50,000 but for a 1BHK LIG flat is Rs 1 lakh. Similarly, the booking amount for a 2BHK MIG flat is Rs 4 lakh and Rs 10 lakh for a 3BHK HIG flat. Narela has the maximum number of flats allotted, with 149 2BHKs and 3,413 1BHKs. The 3BHK flats in Jasola have been priced the most — around Rs 2.08 to 2.18 crore — whereas the 1BHK EWS flats in Narela are priced the lowest, around Rs 9.89 lakh.

To improve security and connectivity, the DDA has allotted land to Delhi Police for opening more police stations in the area and has increased the frequency of DTC buses. A metro line has also been proposed. The DDA has also allotted land to the Delhi government for six higher secondary schools, a sports complex and a dispensary.
