Contractors found engaging in illegal dumping activities will not only face penalties but will also have their bill payments withheld, cautioned Abdul Basit, the Regional Officer of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in Himachal Pradesh. The stern warning was issued during a meeting held with contractors, team leaders of supervising consultants, and project directors of NHAI Mandi, Shimla, Palampur, and Hamirpur.
