Radhika Apte is back with a bang in the upcoming Zee5 film, Mrs Undercover. The movie’s trailer shows Radhika playing an ordinary housewife with a mysterious past, who is recruited by her former employers, the Special Force, to capture the serial killer, Common Man. As the story unfolds, the audience watches Radhika reactivating her spy skills to track down the killer. The trailer has a mix of comedy and drama, which can be a bit confusing for viewers, but it sure promises to be a thrilling ride.
Radhika shared the trailer on her Instagram page, where she can be seen throwing funny excuses to Rajesh Sharma’s character, who tries to convince her to return to the Special Force. Finally, she agrees, and the story takes a dramatic turn as she fights with the serial killer and discovers her true identity as a woman.
The film is written and directed by Anushree Mehta and features Sumeet Vyas as the serial killer. The rest of the cast includes Shaheb Chattopadhyay, Roshni Bhattacharya, Indrashish Roy, Angana Roy, Laboni Sarkar, and Biswajeet Chakraborty. The movie also has a special appearance by Amrita Chattopadhyay.
Mrs Undercover will premiere on Zee5 on April 14, 2023. Radhika’s last appearance was in the Netflix film Monica, O My Darling, where she played the role of ACP Vijayashanti Naidu.
