TVF’s Aspirants was one of the sleeper hits of 2021. Delving into the lives of UPSC aspirants, the show touched many hearts and one of its pivotal characters Sandeep became a household name. The makers, as the show’s second chapter, have launched a spin-off revolving around Sandeep. Starring Sunny Hinduja in the titular role, Sandeep Bhaiya will take a deep dive into the mentor’s life and the challenges he faced while helping many around him.
The trailer of the eight-episode series dropped on Monday, leaving fans quite impressed. The video opens with a narration about Prayagraj and how it was known as the ‘IAS factory’ of the country. We are then introduced to Sandeep bhaiya, who helps evaluate youngsters’ mock answer sheets. He also comes across a girl from a humble background, who has the potential to be an IAS officer. While he helps her out, he is reminded of the times he’s failed to pass the exams himself. How he overcomes his past failures and whether his mentees manage to pass forms the crux of the story.
Just like its first part, the trailer of Sandeep Bhaiya manages to strike a chord. It also has some hard-hitting dialogues that will soon become a rage on social media. For example ‘Failures ko kabhi apna comfort zone nahi banana‘ and ‘UPSC ka attempt khatam hua hai, zindagi ka nahi‘.
Fans dropped heartfelt comments on the video posted by TVF. Some of them read, “This is not the story of only UPSC aspirant but student who is preparing for some or the other competitive exams,” “He deserved a series totally dedicated to him. Glad TVF made it” and “Being from Prayag I can totally relate with the series ,the pain the suffering civil service aspirants has to go through has been portrayed beautifully by TVF once again ❤️❤️.”
Talking about playing the lead role in Sandeep Bhaiya, actor Sunny Hinduja in a statement shared that it was ‘an honour’ to receive the kind of love he did for the show. “As an actor, it’s extremely fulfilling when your work gets appreciated by pan-India audiences. I am grateful to the makers for coming to me with this extraordinary story. I am looking forward for the audience to watch it and have them shower their love and blessings on me like they always do.”
Directed by Parijat Joshi, Sandeep Bhaiya has been produced by TVF and Arunab Kumar. The show also stars Deepali Gautam, Punit Tiwari, Rajendra Gupta and Abhinav Anand
