Sony has announced that Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered and Ending – Extinction is Forever will be free for about a month on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.
In a blog post, Sony said PlayStation Plus members can download and play these games for free from July 4 to July 31 as part of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for the month. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War might not be the best game in the series, but since its launch, it has sold over 30 million copies which makes it one of the most successful installments in the franchise.
The story is set around an alleged Soviet spy called ‘Perseus’, with the player taking control of a person named ‘Bell’ hired by the CIA to hunt down Perseus. It brings back some characters from the Black Ops series like Frank Woods, Alex Mason and Jason Hudson. The game is linked to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and features a multiplayer and zombie mode.
Developed by the studio behind Control and Max Payne, Alan Wake is one of the best single-player action-adventure games of all time. The story revolves around Alan Wake, a novelist in a fictional town in Washington called Bright Falls who goes on a quest to find his missing wife.
Ending – Extinction is Forever is a 3D side scroller where you play as the last fox on Earth. In this survival game, you will have to make use of night to stealthily move around, defend your children and watch them grow as humans are destroying the planet.
If you want to play NBA2K23, Trek to Yomi, and Jurrasic World Evolution 2, make sure to add them to the game library before July 3. For months, Sony has been objecting to Microsoft’s decision to acquire Activision fearing the latter would make Call of Duty an Xbox-exclusive title.
