Sunny Kaushal’s latest movie, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, is making waves in the film industry. The film, directed by Ajay Singh, features an impressive cast that includes Yami Gautam, Sharad Kelkar, Indraneil Sengupta, and Barun Chanda.
Sunny Kaushal’s performance in the movie is remarkable. He plays the role of Ankit, a man with a dark past who flirts with an air hostess, Neha (played by Yami Gautam), and gets her pregnant. Ankit and Neha decide to smuggle diamonds via a flight to clear their debts, but their plans go awry when the flight is hijacked. The rest of the film follows the unraveling of multiple mysteries surrounding the two characters.
The film’s script, penned by Siraj Ahmed and Amar Kaushik, relies heavily on a single twist without building up something concrete around it. Sunny Kaushal’s portrayal of Ankit, a simpleton and a heinous person at the same time, is exceptional. Yami Gautam’s character takes a 360° turn after the twist, turning her routine act into something to remember by.
Ajay Singh’s direction is impressive, and he has learned from the best, as he was the first assistant director to Raj Kumar Gupta on Aamir. The movie is divided into two parts, before and after ‘the twist,’ and the problem lies in building up the routine hijack subplot to reach the juicy part.
Ketan Sodha’s background score and Vishal Mishra’s single love song are notable. However, the film is clever but incomplete, smart in new ways but dumb in some old ways.
Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is available on Netflix and has a runtime of 110 minutes. It is a must-watch for those who love thrillers and want to experience the unexpected. Watch it for the twist, and share your experience with us.
