Dharmendra married Hema Malini in 1980, but at that time, he was already married to Prakash Kaur and had four children – Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta and Ajeeta. Sunny’s son Karan Deol got married earlier this month, and internet was quick to notice that Hema Malini, Esha and Ahana were missing at the wedding festivities. A couple of days after the wedding the wedding, Esha took to her Instagram to wish her nephew on big day. She wrote, “Congratulations Karan and Drisha. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness and happiness. Lots of love 🧿❤️.”

When Esha and Ahana got married in 2012 and 2014 respectively, Dharmendra’s first family was missing in attendance. Despite being in the film industry, the two families have never made any social appearances together.

Esha, in Hema’s biography titled Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl, had shared that she ties a rakhi to Sunny and Bobby, and also said that she looks up to Sunny as a “father figure.” She was quoted saying, “I don’t need to tell the world about the relationship between myself and my half-brothers. I know the world talks about our relationships in different ways. But the Deol family members do not want to show off their relationships.”
