Dunzo4Business, the logistics arm of Dunzo backed by Reliance Retail, has announced its plans to expand its operations to 10-15 additional cities within the next 12-18 months. The decision comes as part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its presence and cater to the growing demand for intracity last-mile delivery services.

Dalvir Suri, co-founder of Dunzo and head of Dunzo4Business (D4B), revealed the expansion plans in an interview with PTI. He highlighted the collaboration between D4B and the government-supported Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), which aims to enhance the efficiency of intracity product delivery.

Suri expressed his optimism about the future prospects of Dunzo4Business, stating, “In a year’s time or 18 months’ time, along with ONDC and my B2B logistics business, we do see ourselves entering into 10 to 15 new cities.” Currently, D4B has a presence in approximately 10 cities.

The expansion strategy is fueled by the increasing demand for efficient and reliable last-mile delivery services, driven by the rapid growth of e-commerce and digital commerce in India. With consumers increasingly relying on online platforms for their shopping needs, there is a growing need for timely and hassle-free delivery of goods within urban areas.

Dunzo4Business, as a logistics aggregator, plays a crucial role in connecting retailers, restaurants, and other businesses with customers by facilitating the delivery process. The company leverages technology and its extensive network to provide efficient and cost-effective delivery solutions, catering to the unique requirements of businesses in various sectors.

The collaboration with ONDC further strengthens Dunzo4Business’s capabilities and expands its reach. ONDC, a government-supported initiative, aims to create an open and inclusive digital commerce network, fostering transparency and promoting fair competition. By aligning with ONDC’s objectives, Dunzo4Business can tap into a broader ecosystem, leveraging the benefits of a standardized and interoperable platform.

The expansion plans signify Dunzo4Business’s commitment to scaling its operations and serving a wider customer base across India. The addition of new cities will not only enable the company to reach more businesses but also create employment opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of these regions.

Dunzo4Business has been instrumental in transforming the logistics landscape by streamlining delivery operations and offering convenient solutions to businesses. With its technology-driven approach and focus on efficiency, the company has garnered a reputation for providing reliable and on-time delivery services.

The partnership between Dunzo4Business and Reliance Retail adds significant value to the company’s expansion plans. Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, is one of the largest retail chains in India. The association provides Dunzo4Business with access to a vast network of retailers, strengthening its capabilities and market presence.

As Dunzo4Business expands to new cities, it will face challenges such as local competition and adapting to the unique dynamics of each market. However, the company’s experience and expertise gained from operating in multiple cities will serve as a valuable foundation for navigating these challenges.

In conclusion, Dunzo4Business, backed by Reliance Retail, is set to expand its logistics operations to 10-15 additional cities in the next 12-18 months. The company’s collaboration with ONDC and its focus on intracity last-mile delivery highlight its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of businesses and consumers. With its technology-driven solutions and strategic partnerships, Dunzo4Business aims to strengthen its position in the logistics industry and contribute to the growth of India’s digital commerce ecosystem.
