The Khanna police Sunday arrested a woman after an ex-serviceman died at her residence under mysterious circumstances, in Grewal Colony of Machhiwara town.
Police said that after the man died, the woman dragged his body and dumped it in a vacant plot instead of informing police or his family.
The police arrested the woman identified as Seema, on the complaint of family of the victim Garib Das, 50, of Balliyewal village who died at woman’s residence Saturday. The deceased’s family alleged that he died after the woman allegedly gave him some tablet mixed in liquor.
The FIR has been registered on the statement of Sandeep Kumar, son of the victim, who said that his father was a frequent visitor to the house of the accused.
