Google’s highly anticipated Pixel Watch, which made its debut during the ‘Made By Google’ event in October last year, is rumored to be receiving a new band option in the near future. A recent advertisement featuring soccer star Megan Rapinoe showcases the sporty Pixel Watch band in a vibrant Coral shade, suggesting that the new band option might be available soon.
The latest “Fixed on Pixel” ad, starring Women’s Soccer star Megan Rapinoe, offers a sneak peek at the upcoming Coral Pixel Watch band. In the video, Megan Rapinoe can be seen wearing the Pixel 7 Pro smartphone, paired with a Pixel Watch adorned with the new coral band, displaying “Fitbit Active Zone Minutes.” She also sports the Pixel Buds Pro truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, making the ad a showcase of Google’s integrated ecosystem.
However, according to the video, the Coral band for the Pixel Watch will not be available for purchase until Fall 2023, leaving enthusiasts eagerly awaiting its official launch.
Earlier speculations suggested that Google might release seven bands for the Pixel Watch, offering users a wide range of customization options. However, upon its launch, the flagship wearable was initially introduced with just four band options: Chalk Active band, Charcoal Active band, Hazel Active band, and Obsidian Active band.
The Google Pixel Watch, unveiled during the I/O 2022 event in May, has quickly become a sought-after device for tech enthusiasts. It officially hit the markets alongside the Google Pixel 7 series in October 2022.
The Pixel Watch comes in two variants, priced at $349.99 (approximately Rs. 29,000) for the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-only model, and $399.99 (approximately Rs. 33,000) for the LTE model, which also includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The wearable device runs on WearOS 3.5 and features a circular 1.2-inch AMOLED touch display with support for always-on mode, ensuring users have easy access to vital information at all times. Under the hood, it is powered by an Exynos 9110 SoC, accompanied by a Cortex M33 coprocessor and 2GB of RAM. The Pixel Watch boasts a heart rate sensor and an ECG tracker, making it a comprehensive fitness companion. The device is constructed with a stainless-steel build and is integrated with Fitbit, providing seamless fitness tracking and health monitoring features. Additionally, it offers support for Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Wallet, further enhancing its utility and convenience for users.
With the upcoming Coral band option, the Pixel Watch is expected to appeal to a broader audience, especially those looking for a sportier and vibrant look to complement their active lifestyles. Google’s focus on providing diverse band options aligns with its commitment to offering users customizable and personalized experiences, catering to their individual preferences.
