Kangana Ranaut recently turned producer for Tiku Weds Sheru, which starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur. The actor hosted a success party for the cast and crew over the weekend and was seen letting her hair down. A video, now doing rounds on social media, has Kangana grooving alongside Avneet at the party as everyone cheers for them.
Dressed in a red off-shoulder gown, Kangana exuded glamour, while Avneet looked gorgeous in her black short dress that she paired with matching heels. The duo took to the dance floor and rocked with their moves, enjoying their happy moments.
The fans of the actors dropped heartfelt comments on the post, some of which read, “Kangna is looking like a princess 😍🔥,” “Wow beautiful,” and “Ohh seeing kangana for long time😍 and Avneet’s energy uff.”
Tiku Weds Sheru dropped recently on Amazon Prime Video and opened with mixed reviews. The Indian Express’ Shubhra Gupta in her review wrote, “To begin with, Nawaz looks like a good fit for the role, in his too-bright clothes and an air of constantly trying to brave his harsh circumstances. As does Kaur, as a small-town girl who is desperate to hit the limelight. But they never quite fit together: you can never overcome the queasiness caused by seeing Sheru slobbering over Tiku.”
Earlier, reacting to the negative reviews, especially around the age gap between the two leading actors, Kangana Ranaut had claimed that a smear campaign was run by the movie mafia against her. “…movie mafia doing everything to harm my film, fake reviews and smear campaigns started even before its release. Anyway it’s streaming now please watch it for yourself or only ask your friends or people you know about the reviews of the film if they saw it before you, don’t go by paid fake trends or reviews,” she posted on social media.
Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui himself responded to the controversy, defending being paired with Avneet, by asking, “Why will there be a problem?” Asserting that romance is ageless, Siddiqui told IndiaToday.in, “The problem is that the young men have no romance left. We are from the times when romance was something else. We would be in love and be in ‘ishq’ for years.”
“Today, Shah Rukh Khan continues to do romantic roles because the young generation is ‘nalli’ (useless). They don’t know romance,” the Gangs of Wasseypur actor pointed out. “Everything today happens on WhatsApp, be it love, or breakup. There is a reason behind this. People who have lived in romance can do romance. Who else will do it?” he asked.
