NEET-PG 2023 results declared by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences announced on March 14 that the results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post-Graduate (NEET-PG) 2023 have been released. Candidates who appeared for the exam can view their scores on the official website, natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in. The NEET PG was conducted on March 5 at 902 examination centers in 277 cities across India with a total of 2,08,898 candidates taking the exam. The cut-off score for the general category and EWS is 291 out of 800, while it is 274 for the general category-PwBD and 257 for SC/ST/OBC.

The NEET-PG 2023 was conducted on a computer-based platform by NBEMS. The board conducted a technical correctness check of the questions and answer keys by subject experts and claims that no question was found to be technically incorrect. The NBE has stated that the merit position for All India 50 percent quota seats will be released separately.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted congratulating the candidates who were declared qualified in the results. He also praised the NBE for their efforts in successfully conducting the NEET-PG exam and declaring the results in record time.

The NEET-PG exam is conducted annually for admission to postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in various medical colleges across India. The exam is mandatory for medical graduates who want to pursue postgraduate courses in medical sciences. The exam comprises 200 multiple-choice questions and is conducted for three hours and 30 minutes. It tests a candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities required to pursue higher education in medical sciences. The exam is conducted in English only.
