Nykaa, the Indian beauty e-commerce company, has recently made some key appointments in its leadership team. The company has announced the hiring of Rajesh Uppalapati as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and P Ganesh as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Additionally, the company has made several other changes to its leadership team.
Rajesh Uppalapati, who has over two decades of experience in the technology industry, will be responsible for it’s technology and digital transformation. He has previously worked with companies like HCL, Wipro, and Infosys, and has expertise in cloud computing, analytics, and artificial intelligence. In his previous role, Uppalapati was the Chief Technology Officer at Mindtree, where he was responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives for the company.
P Ganesh, the new CFO, has over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. He has worked with companies like KPMG, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone, and has extensive knowledge in areas such as corporate finance, taxation, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining, Ganesh was the CFO at Vodafone Idea Limited.

In addition to the new CTO and CFO, Nykaa has also made several other changes to its leadership team. Sanjay Suri, who was previously the CEO of Nykaa Fashion, has been promoted to the role of Group CEO. In his new role, Suri will be responsible for leading it’s overall strategy and operations across all its businesses.
Rajesh Kamra, previously the Head of Technology at Nykaa, has been appointed as CTO. He will be responsible for managing the company’s technology roadmap and driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across all its businesses. Similarly, Anushree Tiwari, who was previously leading Business Development at Nykaa, has been promoted to lead the company’s operations.
Adwaita Nayar, the daughter of Falguni Nayar and previously the CEO of Nykaa, has been appointed as the Chairperson of Nykaa Fashion. She will continue to be involved in the company’s overall strategy and growth initiatives.
Nykaa has also made changes to its board of directors. The company has appointed Akhil Gupta, the former Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, and Renuka Ramnath, the Founder, CEO and Managing Director of Multiples Alternate Asset Management, as independent directors on its board.

The company has a wide range of products, including makeup, skincare, fragrances, hair care, and wellness products. In addition to its e-commerce platform, Nykaa also operates physical stores in several cities across India.
The company has raised over $700 million in funding to date and is valued at over $4 billion. Nykaa’s investors include TPG, Lighthouse Funds, and Steadview Capital, among others. The company has also been rumored to be considering an initial public offering (IPO) in the near future.
