PM Modi's Speech in Parliament: 'Vote Bank Politics has Harmed Country', PM Slams Opposition

In a speech delivered in Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized opposition parties for engaging in vote bank politics, which he argued has harmed the country. The Prime Minister argued that this type of politics has hindered national unity and progress, and that it needs to come to an end.

Replying to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a scathing attack on Congress saying “10 years of UPA rule bled the country dry.” The PM made these remarks while replying to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address in Parliament. During his speech, the PM said, “2004 to 2014 was the decade of scams and violence and the UPA’s trademark was to turn every opportunity into crisis”. He also stated that the welfare of his countrymen is his government’s top priority and the trust of 140 crore Indians is his protective shield.

PM Modi stated that vote bank politics has been used by opposition parties for short-term gains and political advantage, rather than for the benefit of the nation. He emphasized that this type of politics has created divisions and hindered progress in important areas such as education, health, and national security.

The Prime Minister also criticized the opposition for spreading false information and propaganda, which he said is harmful to the country and its people. He argued that this type of misinformation undermines the public’s trust in the government and creates confusion and unrest.

PM Modi accused the opposition of showing just a law in name of removing unemployment. He cited a story of two hunters who went to jungle to kill a tiger. They got down their vehicle without their guns. When the tiger suddenly appeared, they could not return to get their guns, so they showed their gun licence in their defence.

“That is how the previous UPA government showed law on unemployment to people but did nothing to end unemployment,” he said.

Taking a dig at the opposition, PM said, “There is hope in every sector in country but some people steeped in frustration due to people’s mandate against them.” “If anything goes against them, opposition indulges in criticism. If Army shows bravery, they criticise it; if probe agencies act against graft, they attack them,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi emphasized that the people of India are seeking a change from the traditional politics of vote bank and divisiveness, and are instead seeking a new type of politics that is focused on development and progress. He called on opposition parties to work together with the government to achieve this goal, and to put aside their differences for the benefit of the nation.

PM Modi’s speech in Parliament was a clear message to opposition parties, calling for an end to vote bank politics and a focus on development and progress for the nation. He emphasized that this type of politics has been harmful to the country, and that the people of India are seeking a change. The Prime Minister’s message underscores the importance of putting aside political differences for the benefit of the nation and working together to achieve progress and prosperity for all.
