Actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is soon to release in theatres. While the recently released trailer has already entertained fans, it has caught the attention of Google after they got a mention in one of Ranveer’s dialogues. The official Twitter handle of Google India has reacted to Ranveer’s dialogue in the film challenging the search engine’s knowledge.
In the trailer, Ranveer’s character Rocky complains to Alia’s character Rani of underestimating his knowledge. He tells her to ask him anything by saying, “Google ke cheethde nahi phaad diye na, mera naam bhi Rocky Randhawa nahi hai. (I’ll outwit Google or my name isn’t Rocky)”. Reacting in jest, Google India reacted to the dialogue by posted a screen grab of it and wrote in the caption, “it’s on @RanveerOfficial #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani.”

This tweet invited a chain of funny comments from Twitter users. One follower wrote, “Where is the face off? Where can I buy tickets from?” Another one tweeted, “Are we in for an enemies to lover arc?” A user also suggested Google to “Change ur username to ‘okay ranveer‘.”
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marks 25 years of director Karan Johar in the industry. The film revolves around lovers who come from different cultural backgrounds. To understand each other’s family and check the compatibility, Rani and Rocky decide to switch homes and live with their future-in-laws.
The film’s cast also includes Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. Karan is coming back to direction after seven years. His last directorial was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan. The film had a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
Recently, during an Instagram live, fans asked Karan if Shah Rukh is doing a cameo in this film as well. To this, Karan said, “No, he is not (in the film) but his love and blessings are always with me. He is family to me and he was the first person to put out the first unit of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.” Karan further said that there are “three surprise cameos” in the film. Fans have seen actor Ananya Panday in a dance number in the trailer but the other two cameos are still hidden.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani releases in theatres on July 28.
