British freestyle footballer Liv Cooke achieved an incredible feat as she landed 76 sit-down alternating crossovers with a football onboard a cruise ship in Barcelona. The 24-year-old from Leyland, Lancashire, wore an FC Barcelona jersey as she smashed the record, which was her seventh Guinness World Record.
She was able to do 76 alternating crossovers with a football in 30 seconds. She was quoted as saying to the BBC that breaking the record was “amazing” but “inspiring children was the most important thing for her”.
The Guinness World Records posted a video of the record-breaking feat on Twitter. “New record: Most sit down alternating crossovers with a football in 30 seconds (female) – 76 by @LivCookefs (UK) on board the Symphony of the Seas at an event organised by Royal Caribbean International,” says the caption of the video.

“You can only achieve this by wearing a Barcelona Jersey,” commented a user. “This will be challenged as soon as Tuesday morning,” said another.
The previous record of most sit-down crossovers in 30 seconds was 62, achieved by Laura Biondo of Venezuela at DRV PNK Stadium, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, on October 13, 2021.
Cooke began playing football at a young age and growing up with two older brothers played a huge role. However, a lower back injury shattered her dreams of going professional. While she was recovering from injury, she discovered freestyle football videos and began to learn the basics on her own in her back garden. Thus began her journey as a freestyle footballer.
“I didn’t even realise I was freestyling at the time. I was learning one trick, and then another and I just became obsessed with progressing and by the time I was fit to go back into football, I had absolutely fallen in love with football,” she is quoted as saying in the report.
